Accessibility Statement
Last updated: June 6, 2026
We want everyone in Oviedo to be able to use this site, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, or other assistive tools.
This is a starting template written in good faith. It is not legal advice. Please have a qualified attorney review it before you rely on it.
Our commitment
Oviedo.TO aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content easier to use for people with a wide range of abilities.
What we do
- Use clear, plain language at about a grade-7 reading level.
- Keep good color contrast between text and background.
- Make the site work with a keyboard, including a "skip to content" link.
- Use proper headings, landmarks, and labels so screen readers can follow the page.
- Add text descriptions (alt text) to meaningful images.
- Reserve space for images so the page does not jump while it loads.
- Build mobile-first so the site works well on small screens and when zoomed in.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is something we keep working on. Some pages or third-party content (such as embedded maps or ads) may not fully meet our goal yet. We test as we build and fix issues as we find them.
Tell us about a problem
If you run into a barrier on Oviedo.TO, please tell us. Email info@oviedo.to with the page address and a short note about the problem. We will do our best to help and to fix it. If you need information from a page in a different format, let us know and we will try to provide it.
